North is a Toronto-based medical spa helping people of all skin tones and types feel great in their own skin through advanced, ethical, and safe treatments. Ready to embark on a big expansion and a new location, North Medical Spa felt like there was a major disconnect between its current identity and brand assets.
Nothing was brought on initially to do a brand audit and discovery that would bring clarity to the brand. Discovery was critical to helping us collaborate with the NMS team and identify the gaps that were creating inconsistencies throughout their brand. Once we redefined their brand positioning, voice, and tone, we had a clear roadmap to a visual identity which included a logo refresh to better match the brand personality.
While updating the logo, we were mindful of the equity their current mark had, so we kept elements of their previous mark to ensure that it still felt familiar. We added an oval graphic element to their identity to serve as a distinct visual code that perfectly matches the playfulness of the brand as well as their beautiful interior design space. The result is a brand that is youthful, relevant, and playful, as well as flexible, distinct, and versatile. The perfect recipe for a timeless identity.
